Happy Vietnamese Doctor's Day (hopefully if a certain particular person gets sick over there today, all the doctors will be on vacation...), and welcome to the latest episode of Wednesdays With Andrew, your weekly overdose of punk (and punkish!) rock.
This week I was lucky enough to catch up with the amazingly talented and technically unflappable Jake Kiley, guitarist and longtime member of fast, melodic punk band Strung Out. 20 years after the release of their infamous Twisted By Design record, and these guys are still going strong, exploring new sonic frontiers and keeping longtime fans happy with a healthy touring schedule.
Join me as I chat with Jake about all sorts of shit...from how it feels to be in a punk band 30 years later....to get a bit more insight into how metal/punk fanatics like Strung Out can turn down from 11 to write an acoustic album...to learn about how Strung Out ended up with their own beer... and, keep it in your pants music dorks, to hear all about the upcoming new record Strung Out plans to release later this year.
What are you waiting for (ok you can take it out your pants)....go listen, NOW:

For those of you who haven't already listened to my advice a million times, LISTEN TO SATANIC SURFERS' GODDAM NEW ALBUM. Back From Hell is a total ripper, so glad these guys are back in business.
Also, go discover and listen to Strung Out's friends, Phantom Darlings. There's something in there for everyone!
Alright that's it for today. HUGE shout out to Jake for sharing his time and stories with us, and thank YOU, as always, for tuning in. Catch ya next week!
